THE OREGON TRAIL

The classic game from Gameloft is back for the Nintendo DSi system. Leave your mark on American history as you travel to Oregon. The Oregon Trail will give you several objectives to complete. Raise a five-member family, and head to your future home. Along the way you will face obstacles from famine to disease. During your journey, you'll be given challenges in order to stay alive that range from fishing to defending your family from animal attacks. On the Oregon Trail, you'll meet countless historic figures in American history like Abraham Lincoln to Samuel Morse. Take your hand at gold panning or carpentry. Stop at historic monuments, and using your DSi camera, you can take a picture of yourself and put it in the daily paper. Reach every fort to gain quests, challenges, and rest your family. Even on the Oregon Trail, disaster happens, which means you should be prepared for anything like a thunderstorm or even a wagon fire. All this can be experienced on the Oregon Trail. The Oregon Trail can be purchased on the Nintendo DSi shop.

DARK VOID ZERO

Dark Void has quite a history. The year is 1987 and, Capcom couldn't have been doing better. With Ghosts 'N Goblins and Commando under it's belt, Capcom was very excited to release Mega Man for the holiday season. Later, as the 80's were drawing to a close, Capcom started working on a secret project that would fall under the platform genre that would have the same qualities as a Mega Man game. This game would be called Dark Rift (later renamed Dark void). The game was developed and later made into and arcade game. Eventually, the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) was made and had the additional hardware requirements making Dark Void redundant. The game was shelved and lost in the annals of gaming history. Nearly twenty years later, Dark Void is back! The game has been renamed from Dark Void to Dark Void Zero. Dark Void Zero is available for the Nintendo DSi system.

Play as Rusty, a test pilot who must stop a group of enemies called the Watchers in their quest to dominate the world. With the help of an old scientist named Nikola Tesla and Rusty's trusty rocket pack, he must take down the Watchers in three intense levels. Equip Rusty with 5 primary levels and 3 secondary weapons. The game is available for DSi ware on the Nintendo DSi shop.

SUPER SCRIBBLENAUTS

Remember the hit, multi-award winning, game Scribblenauts? It's back with a few changes, like a new name. Super Scribblenauts is stocked with 10,000 new words to use. Words aren't all that's improved. Adjectives are also available. There are so many possible words to use and make, for example 'spotted wheeled lizard car.' That's how awesome this game will be. Yes, I just said "will be," because unfortunately the game isn't made yet and is hitting the shelves on October 12, 2010. Not too much information is given about the game yet. Right now the rating is still pending which means the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) is still deciding what to rate the game. The game is not available to purchase at game stores yet but can be pre-ordered at amazon, and gamestop.

DONKEY KONG LAND

Donkey Kong Land is a platform game for Game boy. Play as Donkey Kong (an ape) or his trusty sidekick, Diddy Kong (a chimp). Explore multiple worlds filled with many different enemies. Donkey Kong Land has so many outrageous objectives to complete such as collecting bananas, attacking enemies with barrels, rolling over foes to destroy them, and much, much, more! The graphics are not great because this game was designed for the original Game boy which was made in 1989, but it is still an excellent game.

In my opinion Donkey Kong Land falls in the category of irreplaceable games like Super Mario Bros. and Tetris. Donkey Kong Land is entertaining and proves exceedingly difficult. Many people share my view that this is a great game because it won the Players Choice Award and sold over a million copies.

Donkey Kong Land will always be considered rare because Game boy games are no longer manufactured. It is probably impossible to find Donkey Kong Land in most stores but it can be found on ebay and amazon.
